The Awesome Times is the official e-newsletter of the Salem-Keizer Education Foundation. It is published monthly and sent out via electronic mail.
The Awesome Activity Guide
The Awesome Activity Guide was created in partnership with Salem Health and the Salem Hospital Auxiliary.
In celebration of the foundation’s 25th anniversary it was designed to salute the Health and Physical Education teachers and coaches who are dedicated not just to the science of the curricula, but the life-saving premise of modeling and teaching active, healthy lifestyles.
The Awesome Activity Guide is a book of activities written by Salem-Keizer master educators, Trisha Ebbs and David Rasca. The compilation of resources, lesson plans, and activities is perfect for those days when the creativity doesn’t flow, or the lesson plan for the day doesn’t seem to fit with the energy level of the students, or something is happening in the community (like the Awesome 3000) that will make for a teachable moment.
The Guide has 13 Lessons in “All about the Body,” and another 9 lessons “All about Fitness and Running.”
